Breast Augmentation Case
Before & After
Case Details
Breast Augmentation/Breast Lift/ Tuberous Breasts
Tuberous breasts present a number of complex issues. Patients with this type of breast often experience concerns with appearance, and unevenness, or asymmetry. This young woman came to see us with these concerns. She was hoping to achieve a more even, rounded contour to her breasts.
In a patient with tuberous breasts, the inframammary fold (the crease beneath the breast), is unusually high, and tight to the chest wall. This causes the breast tissue to cascade downward from a high crease, with little or no lower pole appearance, or 'lift.'
In our patient's case, the left breast is significantly smaller, and higher. The correction involved releasing the contracted breast tissue, and releasing and lowering the inframammary fold. In addition, she underwent a subglandular Breast Augmentation with silicone implants of different sizes, and a Donut Lift (moderate Breast Lift with incision around the areola).
The after photos were taken 8 weeks post-surgery. There is a mark still visible, from her original breast crease. This has decreased, will continue to improve over time. Our patient is very pleased with her results, and transformation.
